Fogo Island Accommodations is a vacation home rentals company on Fogo Island—Newfoundland and Labrador’s largest offshore island. They needed a modern site that highlights their three cozy, cottage-style properties and makes booking effortless for guests. Rogue Penguin created the visual direction; GAVAMEDIA translated that design into a fast, accessible website with a smooth, reliable booking experience.

Rogue Penguin’s brand-forward visuals set the tone: clean typography, generous white space, and a colour palette inspired by Fogo Island’s rugged coastlines. We carried that system into every component—cards, galleries, buttons—so the site feels consistent, refined, and easy to navigate. The result is a look that’s fresh and modern, without losing the warmth and character of a cottage getaway.
Showcasing the Accommodations
The new Accommodations page is built to convert:
- Clear, scannable cards for all three cottages—Orange House by the Inn, Oliver’s Place by the Inn, Annie’s Place By The Inn—Each with its own personality and room configuration to fit different group sizes.
- Beautiful image galleries with quick-loading, high-resolution photos that capture interiors, views, and nearby scenery.
- At-a-glance essentials (guests, bedrooms, amenities) plus a prominent “Book now” flow on every listing.
Seamless Bookings with Two-Way Airbnb Sync
Under the hood, we integrated our accommodations booking plugin to handle:
- Direct booking on the website with live availability and secure checkout.
- Two-way syncing with Airbnb so dates booked on the site are immediately blocked on Airbnb (and vice versa), preventing double-bookings and manual calendar headaches.
- Instant confirmations and clear guest communications to build trust before arrival.
